Stylist Machiko Yamamoto was born and raised in Fukuoka Japan where she trained at top hair salons in Tokyo. In particular, she studied under Akio Tsuchiya, the maestro of Kimono hair. Machiko has created a name and following with celebrities and A list clients in New York since 2003. When she started her professional journey with Peter Coppola, she went on to work with Kevin Mancuso and Serge Normant at John Frida.
Meaghan was born and raised in Vermont but quickly made her way to New York City to study hair with a goal to learn from the best in the industry. After studying at the Aveda Institute, Meaghan perfected her craft at the prestigious salons of Sally Hershberger and Serge Normant where she worked alongside some of the most talented colorists in New York City. Learning from their expert techniques, and developing her own style along the way.
Yetty Bames has always had the passion to work in the hair, beauty, and fashion industry since her early childhood. After pursuing her higher education in psychology, Yetty returned to her true first love, BEAUTY after relocating to New York City. In 2011, Yetty took residence at MIZU Salon as their in-house beauty and brow specialist, and soon after was offered the same opportunity at GARREN NYC, John Barrett, and the Salon @ Bergdorf Goodman.
At a young age, a well-connected aunt introduced colorist Sophie Georgiou to the bewitching world of Parisian hair stylists. This early encounter ultimately led to a more disciplined study of hair color and the formation of a coloring technique highly influenced by her training and studies as a painter.
Brandi began her career at Sally Hershberger salon downtown, training under senior accomplished stylists, including assisting Sally Hershberger for over 2 years. Brandi’s work has been featured in magazines such as many issues of VANITY FAIR, VOGUE, and ALLURE. Brandi frequents New York Fashion Week shows, doing models’ hair for top designers.
Clifford Stafford is originally from the United Kingdom but currently resides in New York City with his dog Dottie, who frequently accompanies him to his haircuts. Clifford has decades of experience cutting and styling hair in major cities around the world. His vibrant personality and consistently excellent work have given him a loyal client base that trusts him to give them their best, perfectly styled hair every time.
Shara Strand, celebrity makeup artist and licensed esthetician, is excited to rejoin the talented artists at SDSH. She became interested in makeup and the arts at an early age while working in professional theater. With decades of experience as a professional makeup artist, her educational pursuits have brought her to NYU where she received her BFA at The Tisch School of the Arts. As a young makeup artist, she established herself working with brands such as Estee Lauder, Bare Escentuals, and Nars.
Fabien Magris began his career as a Hairstylist in Paris at Jacques Dessange with Creative Director Bruno Pittini. In the early 90’s, he moved to New York and landed at the Jacques Dessange Salon on Park Avenue. Since then he’s worked at top salons such as Oscar Blandi, Serge Normant, and most recently David Mallett Salon. Fabien’s work in the fashion world has graced the stages of L’Wren Scott, Bulgari, Dolce & Gabbana, and has also worked with high-profile celebrities such as Renee Zellweger, Nicole Kidman and Rita Wilson. Fabien is an expert stylist utilizing the French Haircut technique and is known for his distinguished work in Keratin treatments.
Lucy was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. She came to NYC to study Fashion Design at FIT and Parsons. Looking for a career in fashion, she wanted to work for the best designers. She ended up in Bergdorf Goodman; the only job available at Bergdorf was at the salon Sergio Valente. Lucy took a part-time position at the salon, and soon after that, Frederic Fekkai took over the salon. Soon after, Lucy became his assistant, getting a Cosmetology license. The 90’s was a fantastic time working with celebrities, fashion shows, and movies. Lucy was a fixture in Vogue magazine in an article about an upper-coming Hairdresser. She’s worked at John Barrett for a few years and now works with Sharon Dorram Color at Sally Hershberger.
Ric Pipino is the founder of PIPINO, Inc., and a world renowned hair stylist. He is known for his acclaimed work in fashion, with the Hollywood elite, and his loyal clientele of women, men and children around the globe. His decades-long career began in his native Sydney as one of five Australian Italian boys from a Calabrian family, three of whom became hairstylists. Ric grew up training at his brother’s Sydney salon, later becoming a top stylist among the London fashion elite and working with Harper’s & Queen and British Vogue before he turned 20.
